Pitching for Paws: Crafting a Tail-Wagging Investor Presentation

At first glance, the original banker decks I receive for these projects look nearly identical except perhaps for a color or two.

However, these MDs and VPs know that tailoring the message to the client’s brand and transforming the copy-heavy slides into personalized stories sets them apart from their competitors and shows an audience of institutional investors that they realize the importance of making sure their client’s brand is consistent across all touchpoints.

This roadshow deck for Outward Hound began with a Word outline. The color palette is based on colors pulled from the client's playful logo and graphic elements include lots of kissable canines and kitties, Thunda Tuggas & Pulleez, recurring paw print motifs, and seamless background patterns.

Maybe it’s because I have three dogs and a house full of toys and chews, but there were no design revisions, minimal wordsmithing, and only one 20-minute Zoom to kick off the project. This was my first project with a dream deal team from the Los Angeles office.
